Storytelling
Incorporate reading/storytelling into each day.

Lending Library
Start a “lending library” for children to take books home and read with their parents. Exchange books with other caregivers/daycare providers to keep your collection ever-changing.

Reading for All is a partnership between The Oregon Community Foundation and the Marion, Polk and Yamhill county Children and Families Commissions. The mission of these agencies complements the Foundation's commitment to early childhood development and strengthening Oregon families. Together, we are mobilizing to increase literacy in the Northern Willamette Valley.

Because 90% of brain development happens by age 5, making reading a priority in early childhood yields the greatest return on investment.
