Linfield College Taste of Service

Ten students volunteered at a book sort to benefit Yamhill County Reading for All as a part of their Taste of Service Day.  The students were able to process approximately 1,500 books which will be redistributed free to children throughout the County.

Reading for All is a partnership between The Oregon Community Foundation and the Marion, Polk and Yamhill county Children and Families Commissions. The mission of these agencies complements the Foundation's commitment to early childhood development and strengthening Oregon families. Together, we are mobilizing to increase literacy in the Northern Willamette Valley.

Because 90% of brain development happens by age 5, making reading a priority in early childhood yields the greatest return on investment.
